About Us
Right to Know began with a simple realization: too many young women were growing up without a clear understanding of their bodies. What started as honest conversations among friends about cycles, symptoms, hormones, and unanswered questions soon revealed a much bigger need. Many women had the same experience of our founders, Myah, believing that it was normal for their bodies to be in pain.
Out of that need, Right to Know was born. We started by creating spaces for young women to learn the basics of body literacy in a way that felt approachable, hopeful, and deeply human. As more girls, mothers, mentors, and schools began asking for these conversations, the mission grew. What began as education became a movement centered on helping women know their bodies, recognize signs of health, and make informed decisions with confidence.
Over time, Right to Know expanded beyond conversation into practical tools and experiences. Through workshops, mentorship, media, community outreach, and educational resources, we have worked to make women’s health education more accessible and more personal.
Our goal has never been simply to give information, but to restore a sense of connection between women and their bodies.
Today, Right to Know continues to grow by combining relational education with innovative tools that help women better understand their health.
From in-person gatherings, Right to Know girls in different cities, partnering with other orgs for digital resources, AI-powered support, medical professionals across the nation, everything we create is designed to make complex health information clearer, more actionable, and more empowering.
You can bring Right to Know to your city by onboarding as a R2K Lady (great for your resume! Etiquette for buisness is included!) and then R2K ladies are given resources and decorations to host R2K dinners and do R2K action days in their areas.
We exist to help women discover the voice of their bodies from a young age so that they can grow up knowing their inherent beauty and create cultural change in Women's Health.
